Folk Singer Songwriter Audrey Houle is originally from Quebec, Canada. Her passion for singing began as soon as she set foot on a stage at the age of 13 in her hometown of Sorel-Tracy. With a guitar played by ear, she composed her first bilingual songs at 16.
Audrey made her first move to the west coast in 2004. You can sometimes hear the fresh air and beautiful landscapes of her travels in her melodies. She now lives in Whistler, BC, and is known under her artist name Aude Ray.
The Canadian singer's debut album Sirène,(2014), Folk/Pop/Francophone, was recorded in Powell River, BC. Since her latest one “Be my Home”(2017) recorded in Pemberton, BC, she has been touring and living fully of her music and art. This tour brought many new projects and collaborations like the Single Remembering recorded in L.A., Lucid Dreamin, in Montreal and has brought to the world a brand new album in the making, recorded in Montreal. The album is expected this Fall (2018).
Aude Ray offers school workshops and concerts in many schools of British Columbia and around Canada while touring. Travelling with Via Rail with the Vancouver-Toronto Artists on Board program, she contributes to the Canadian Singer Songwriter scene and plays shows Solo or with her band at different Festivals and events around the world.
When she doesn’t play, Aude Ray creates. Painting, jewellery making and stone carving are some of her favorite hobbys. She draws inspiration from nature and wildlife. The ocean, the mountains and old growth forests are recurring themes in her art.
Aude Ray has many projects in the back of her mind that will have you under her spell for the years to come...
